detention...

Ana sat at his desk. He had just come back from his date with Amy and was in a good mood

Derrek didn't really want to be here. But of course he had to serve his time. He entered the room and saw Professor sitting at his desk.

"Hey Professor. How are you?"

Ana looked at Derrik and smiled "Great, and you?"

"Well I'm okay for today. I'm hear to serve my time. So....what shall we or rather I will do?"

Derrik wanted to know what was expected of his Professor since he was in detention. Not many kids would show they could do anything for that matter.

"You will get up and practice spells on this dummy." Ana said leaning back in his chair

"I thought detention was something bad? Not that I am asking for anything but what exactly should a practice?"

Derrik was at a lost. He still had the idea of how a muggle school worked.

"Eh, anything really. And yes detention is usually bad, but i am in a forgiving mood today." Ana said remembering what had happened that morning and smirked a bit.

"Well what is the first thing that I should practice? I want to be able to master at least a defensive spell and offensive."

Derrik wanted his teachers' idea on this. He was only a student so there for they could only use and learn 1st year spells.

"Work on flipendo for now, that one you did to Micah was pathetic"

"Okay. But you didn't have to put it like that you know." Derrik was a little upset to hear it but he was rusty on his magic. He barly used it in the first place.

"Flipendo!" he yelled. A flash of white/blue light came shooting out of his wand and hitting the dumby. The dumby was pushed back a few inches almost to a foot.

"Is that better?"

Ana sighed "try it like this." Ana said fuloishing his wand and sending the dummy (thats how you spell it dummy) through the wall

"Is there some extra trick in this that I'm missing? I practically did it the same way you did. So how did yours have more power?"

Derrik was at a loss for this.

1. more magic, DUH. And two you flick your wrist right as you say flipendo" Ana said sitting back down (stop making this harder then it has to be)

Derrik understood what Professor had said and gave it a try.

"Flipendo!" he yelled once more. He flicked his wrist and said it at the same time. Once more the dummy flew much farther than before.

"Oh now I get it. So by doing so, the spell has more of an effect right?"

"no, I just made you believe that to give you more confidence. you are dismissed
